Why do people play hard to get? Is it because we are scared of falling into something or someone and then getting hurt in the end? Is it a selfish game that boosts ones ego? Maybe we don’t have the answers ourselves, but as peers and observers, perhaps we can discover why someone else is doing it. Is it worth harboring our feelings when they could turn into something immensely amazing? Or is it a genius way of shielding your heart and ensuring that its hardly touched by emotion. It’s a wondrous tale of time and fate and sleepless nights and clothes covered floors and staring contests.

It’s been a pretty eventful week. Last week was full of video assignments and starbucks and glorious weather and windows down with loud music and ceasars and fish tacos and laughing and frustration and excitement. After a fun and eventful night of being out with k and her friends/family, i spent the next evening having deep conversations with 45+ company around an outdoor fireplace. Ultimately, i just think it’s so interesting how people meet and interact and tell stories. If i had sat in my room that night, i wouldn’t have got that extra push of motivation to keep working hard, and i wouldn’t have gotten some advice (drunken/slurring advice, but it still made some sense.) Sunday, K and i ventured out to target and got some Davids tea, and then sat lazily around the house for the rest, face timing and calling our mothers. This morning however, was an eventful one. After the little typical Monday morning hardships, we found ourselves quarantined in our school because some student didn’t think that it was important to mention that they had a serious and contagious infection. So! The rest of our afternoon was filled with rubber gloves and panic and sterilization wipes and phone calls to the public health. But now we’re back home enjoying the rest of the evening. Now that that day is out of the way, we can move on to the rest of the week :)

Side note: I forgot my guitar and uke at home, so i’m pretty stoked to be going home to them next week so that i can sit around the fire and sing a few tunes this long weekend.
